Back when I was younger, prunes had the stigma for being ‘old folk’ treat, but I have loved prunes since I was a teenager. I used to believe all prunes were created equal that is until I tried Sunsweet D’Noir Prunes. These prunes are free of preservatives, and there’s no extra sugar added. What you get is the natural delicious sweetness of the Sunsweet D’Noir Prunes. When I first got them, I had to stop myself from eating the whole package. The prunes were that good!
Another great thing about Sunsweet D’Noir Prunes is that they have whole fruit antioxidants and all natural fiber. Throw some into yogurt, your favorite cereal, or into a healthy turkey pita bread sandwich. They’re also a good low calorie (only 100 calories per serving!) non-fat snack that’s good for the family. It’s definitely a great alternative to candy when you’re trying to satisfy your kid’s sweet tooth. These tasty treats are also grown right here in my home state of California. I think those Sunsweet Growers are onto something with the D’Noir prunes. :o)
In celebration of D’Noir, Sunsweet recently launched the “Dare to D’Noir Challenge,” a Facebook-based video contest challenging prune lovers and prune skeptics alike to Dare to D’Noir and upload videos sharing what they think about the new product from now through June 17. Five finalists will be selected and put to a public vote for a chance to win the grand prize of $5,000. You can enter this video contest at Sunsweet Growers’ Facebook page. If you decide to enter, I would love to see your entry.
